The really important things nearly always occur unexpectedly, one never knows when that opportunity you dream about, success, love... is going to present itself. But you must be prepared and be with your eyes wide open, because those trains usually do not pass twice.

I've just finished reading my second books of André Kostolany: Die Kunst über Geld nachzudenken. Inside this book, Kostolany said that a great speculator must have capital (not margin), ideas, patience and luck. None of them can be missed; otherwise, he will fail in the speculation.
He summarizes as a simple equation:
2+2 = 5-1
Capital: when the market changes direction, you can’t get “5” if your money is borrowed.
Ideas: you must imagine any possibilities, including uncommon risks, in order to preventing loss.
Patience: sometimes, the tape doesn’t react as you like. Thus you must wait.
Luck: speculation, will earn money sometime but it can lose money definitely. Bad luck means you’ll be a loser.
Make money is not straightforward. It’s tricky. 2+2 is equal to four, but you can’t the answer directly. You need get it through 5-1. Speculation is an art but a science. This is speculation.
There are other important thoughts from him. I may them down later on.

El Resultado de EFD en el Marzo
El Fondo del Devengos (EFD) was estimated NAV at the close of the day on 31st March was HK$0.715 per share, bringing the YTD returns to -19.31%.
The HSI was down from 27,812.65 to 22,849.19, which was translating into -17.85%.
Obviously, my performance was worse than HSI, which was 1.46% better mine. I've no actions after 1st November, 2007. During this period, I read books to gain more knowledge. I really want to beat the benchmark! I really want to earn money! I really want to be successful in speculation and investment!
What're books have I read? I've read three books totally: Pit Bull by Martin Schwartz, Reminiscence of a Stock Operator by Edwin Lefèvre and Kostolanys beste Geldgeschichten by André Kostolany. These are great books. I learn some speculation mindsets from the authors. However, I haven't apply the skills yet. Why? This is because I lack self-confidence. There is something missing inside my heart. I've to overcome it and God is helping me.

La Española
My first encounter with Spanish was in Brno, Czech Republic, in 2003. I met few Spanish students there. However, I didn't learn any Spanish words with them. In 2004, I travelled Madrid, Córdoba and Barça. That time, I learnt few words of Española. In 2005, I studied the language formally. I attended the language courses about half a year. I did learn vocabulary and grammar in these lessons.
However, I was lazy so I didn't continue studying hard. Even I like to learn Spanish, my laziness took control myself instead. If I studied the language hard, I could write Spanish now. 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, there are four years totally! For any slow learner, s/he can absorb something. But the theory doesn't apply on lazy learner.
Really, I want to learn Spanish again. I want to read poems from Federico García Lorca and Pablo Neruda. Of course, my ultimate goal is to enjoy Don Quixote by Cervantes. I've to study Spanish again.

Acerca de Mí
¡Hola! My name is Andrés Costolani. Of course, this is not my real name. Who am I? Who cares?
I'm 27 years old now but I don't achieve anything. Even I got a degree, I don't have any achievement. Let introduce more about myself. I born in 1981 in China and moved to Hong Kong in 1989. Then I was growing and studying in Hong Kong.
During 2003-04, I'd a chance to visit the Czech Republic. I worked as a student intern in a software house as a Software Quality Assurance Engineer. That was a wonderful experience. I met many friends. Some of them we keep contact still. Besides my placement, I travelled around Europe. I went to Austria, Slovakia, England, Holland, Portugal, Spain, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland. So great! I enjoyed much during my travels. If possible, I want to revisit Europe again!
In 2005, I graduated and received a bachelor degree of Computing. Afterwards, I worked as a Software Engineer in a local operator, NovaComm, about one and half year. Then I moved to Sakai Group as a Senior Programmer for another year.
In September 2007, I resigned and had two-week non-paid holiday. I then joined Zurida as a Trainee of Financial Planner. However, my personal characteristics don't fit for the job of financial planning. I resigned again after three-week training.
Likely, I found a job immediately. That was a Marketing Executive at Ondra Solutions. In the beginning, I quite liked the job nature. It was a new area for me. I'm a technical man and I didn't explore much in the business. It was my first time. However, the boss, Mr. Villa, is a demanding man. He gave me lots of pressure and his ideas were changeable very fast. Thus, I couldn't survive under his management. I quitted before the Lunar New Year.
Very soon then I entered my current company, Gracias Kapital, as an IT Officer. Back to IT. I'm performing coding, production supports and other IT-related tasks. I feel more comfortable.
This is my brief introduction about myself.

La Introducción
My first investment was on 21 August 2006. That day I bought Bank of Communications (3328.HK). Afterwards, I bought many other stocks. I earned before mid-August 2007 but I lost after November 2007.
I tried to figure out why I could continue to gain. However, I don't know why. I just know that I was over-sold on 17 August 2007 and I was over-bought during 31 October and 1 November 2007. These days made me changed from the heaven to the hell. Why I did that? I don't know still. One reason may be my insufficient experience on the stock market. Another reason is that I can't stay calm down during the exciting moments. Thus I failed on the stock market.
Starting loss but I don't cut loss so my money is escaping me very soon. On 31 October 2007, I'd +15.14% gain but I buy more shares that day. Unfortunately, my decision was wrong. My portfolio was recorded -5.11% at the end of November 2007. Continually, my NAV was squeezed to -11.44%, -26.17% and -22.73% in December 2007, January and February 2008. The worst thing is now – I'm losing -29.44% now (07 March 2008)! Why I didn't stop earn and cut loss? Horrible!
I've to figure out my failures and search a key to succeed; otherwise, I'll be dry out! This is the reason why I write here.
